Journal 18
The perfect autumn day is probably a saturday or Friday afternoon. When you step outside you should smell the fresh air. I love just throwing the ball for the dog and watching him crash into the leaves. It makes me laugh so hard. I can sit outside without a jacket and be very comfortable in my t-shirt and shorts. Autumn is the time for apple cider and apple pie. It is also the time for pumpkin and Halloween and thanksgiving. I love both of those holidays and the weather on those days seems to always be ok. Some years on Halloween it rains but other years it will be gorgeous. Seeing the moonlight and all the people around its just beautiful. Sometimes on thanksgiving we will have perfect weather or a snow storm. It is the gamble that I like the most. I really like to be cold and I do not get cold easily so this season and winter are perfect for me. The feeling I get off stepping outside is so perfect that I wish I could experience it everyday. I am not hot and I am not cold. I can wear shorts all year and still be comfortable. It is also very easy to sleep in during this time because of how comfortable you are yet it still stays dark long enough. Summer time does not have enough nighttime and the winter has too much that you could sleep until 3 p.m. I love autumn time and I do not think that there is a better season. I am kind of running out of reasons as to why it is perfect but it is. Autumn is the time for baseball and football. You can also have backyard games of basketball and wiffle ball. Almost all of my favorite things happen in this time and I cannot wait until it is autumn time again next year.

Journal 17
Bonding with nature is an experience that I think everyone needs. Because of all of the video games and television and technology, I think that our generation is not going outside as much as we should. My dad is always telling me about how they used to live outside when he was little, running around playing baseball and in the streets with his friends and not much of that happens today. We would rather sit inside and play Call of Duty for hours on hours. I like to bond with nature while I am hunting. We sit outside for hours and just wait and listen to what is going on and enjoy nature. My dad and I go outside when it is still dark to have a better chance at a deer but we also get the watch the sunrise and how the wind picks up when the sun comes out. We are warmer when it is dark out then when the sun comes up, which is weird because I think that the sun should make you warmer. I enjoy the cold and just watching nature in its true element. The squirrels running around, the birds chirping, the branches swaying, and the wind whistling. I love spending time outside but other than while I am hunting or playing sports I do not spend an excessive amount of time outside. I also like to fish during the summer so I guess each season I do something different outside. During the winter I hunt and play in snow and stuff. During the spring I play baseball. In the summer I spend a lot of time outside playing with friends or other stuff. In the fall I fish as well as in the spring and summer. When I am older I am going to try and do the same things with my kids outside and try and limit the video gaming but I will probably game it up with them and destroy their lives in Call of Duty which will probably be outdated by then.

Journal 16
It may be difficult to keep in touch with them and exchange information but I think that it is possible thanks to today's technology. We can use Facebook, twitter, even ancient email to communicate so that we can exchange information with the other kids in our group. We will have to rely on technology for our project and if it fails then we are screwed.I think that as technology evolves then it will become easier to talk to people over great distances. It is not necessarily difficult now but I think that some of the kinks will get worked out and the lag will not be as great. This journal is late and by now we have finished the project and communication was our biggest issue. The four people from plains would email and facebook the other people from farmersville and we could not get a response from any of them and that was very disappointing because they did not have a part in our project and it became a plains project instead of a co-op project. I would have liked to talk to the other kids and I am sad that we were not able to get a hold of them because I bet they could have contributed greatly to our project. I would have liked to get to know a kid from another school because I think that this technology will be huge later in my life. There are not that many more meetings in person where you have to fly somewhere. Most of them happen now over a video chat room or something similar to that. I think that I am very good with technology but everyone can always get better because technology is always changing and so our knowledge of it needs to also. Hopefully I will have another opportunity to work with people from another school because I liked the idea and really was looking forward to what the product of our project would look like and what grade it would receive. I think it would have been difficult but fun also.

I think that the main issue with working with someone from a different place will be the communication. It may be difficult to keep in touch with them and exchange information but I think that it is possible thanks to today's technology. We can use Facebook, twitter, even ancient email to communicate so that we can exchange information with the other kids in our group. We will have to rely on technology for our project and if it fails then we are screwed. I still do not really understand the project but I am sure that it will need to be a great group effort and not just one or two kids doing the entire thing. I mean I am not against one or two kids doing the whole thing but if that happens then the others would not get anything out of this project. I think we are not supposed to just learn about Franklin and his virtues but how to communicate with people who are not by us and how we can still have a real connection with them. I think that as technology evolves then it will become easier to talk to people over great distances. It is not necessarily difficult now but I think that some of the kinks will get worked out and the lag will not be as great. Some of the issues to get over will be who is d oing what. I think that it will be hard to make corrections because you have to make a time when everyone is available and when everyone can sit down and listen to what needs to be done. I do not expect this to be a difficult project but like I have said before the communication will be huge. It will be hard to get together with them and talk about it. I also think that it will be hard to get with the other person from plains depending on who it is and if you know them well.
