Long Trips

Traveling is something that many people dread, but is something is that I enjoy. This summer we went to Madrid, Spain and that is definitely the longest time I have ever been on an airplane. We were in the air for almost nine hours but it was still fun. I am able to fall asleep well on a plane which I think is weird. The longest time I have ever actually been traveling is when we were in Phoenix, Arizona. I flew there with my grandmother and my aunt and the rest of my family drove there to watch my brother play in Spring Training. I did not fly back, I rode with my parents in the Suburban. The total time we spent driving was close to twenty four hours and it still did not bother me. I had bought a few seasons of the Simpsons and all we did was watch that, eat McDonald's, and sleep. We did stay in a five star hotel on the way back which was fun, even though it was not as nice as the resort we had stayed at while in Phoenix. The impact that I always experience is the feeling of tiredness the second I step into my home. Even if I am not tired while on the plane or while in the car, even while in the car on the way home from the airport I will not be tired, but as soon I walk into the house a wall hits me and I am usually out for five to six hours. I also seem to be greatly affected by the food that one consumes while on vacation. It is usually so unhealthy because we usually go for what is fast, not healthy. The last few days of vacation I will try to eat better because I know that when I go home to more healthy food I will not feel well for a while. I do like traveling though because of the experience we can get from it, seeing how the environment and living style differ from our own.
